It is hoped that George Cure, who was reported missing when the USS Guin wassunk in the Solomon Isles on July 13, will be heard from in the nearfuture.
It has been reported by a returned sailor, who was in that area at the time, that the crew abandoned ship and then sank it, without the loss of those onboard.
Probably they were rescued and will be reported on at a later date.
George Cure is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Guy Cure, who reside at Anton, andhis wife Mrs. Emma Cure is now at the home of her sister, Mrs. Wilton Cowan, whose post office address is Anton.
